Climate Change in the Value Chain
Remove 40 million tons of carbon from the atmosphere by 2025.
Reduce specific emissions by 15% by 2030
In order to act in mitigating and adapting to climate change, Suzano has entered into a partnership with the Carbon Disclosure Project - CDP, an international non-profit organization, to engage its suppliers in measuring and reducing carbon emissions.
We have incorporated the topic into our business model using a systemic and collaborative approach, connecting local and global agendas.
The program aims to strengthen emissions management in the value chain, promoting data transparency, setting targets and assessing risks and opportunities related to climate change.
We are committed to generating and sharing value, increasingly assessing positive impacts through our long-term goals.
Cuidar da Água in the Value Chain
The Cuidar da Água program is an initiative by Suzano in partnership with the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) that seeks to encourage its partners to improve water resource management. Through the program, suppliers will be guided to measure their water consumption, provide transparency in their management, set goals and assess risks and opportunities in relation to the use of water resources.
Learn about our long-term goals:
Increased water availability in all river basins considered critical in the company's areas of operation.
15% reduction in water withdrawal by 2030.

We operate on two main fronts:
Expanding Business with Women-Owned Businesses
We seek to increase the number of suppliers and investments in companies that are 51% or more owned and managed by women. To this end, we partner with WEConnect International, a global network that certifies women-led companies.
Gender Diversity in Operations
Our commitment also includes increasing the number of women hired as third-party workers in Suzano’s operations, through training programs in partnership with suppliers. So far, more than 100 women have been impacted by these initiatives. Learn more about the Women in Management program, which promotes the training and inclusion of women in the logistics sector.
